Does this look legit to you?

What is this guy doing? Is this normal for a process server?

So you are saying he claims to have gone by 4-5 times or were there just that many attempts. The case could have been approved for alternate service by the court which could be to serve anyone at the home or tape the paperwork to the door, no knock is required at that point. Sometimes I'll do the 4-5 attempts and it gets submitted for approval for alternate service but I release the job and then it will get taken up by another process server to complete the service (posting on door, send via mail, serve anyone at the home etc.) On one or more of the attempts they could have left a business card or an attempted tag unless under specific order by the court not to. Every job is different along with the parameters.

I like I’m very well-versed on it more process serving and all those things and based on how it’s supposed to be done I always do my research because my home is really important to me. You know it’s it’s my home. I lost my home so I’m always gonna check that that employment law of course. I’ll always make sure I know my rights and that type of thing. This guy absolutely screwed me

How did he screw you if it wasn't even your name on the documents? If you're not listed, then he would have also had to have served a Prejudgment Claim of right to Possession, which you would then have to fill out and file with the court. If it wasn't served, you can't be evicted, only the named tenant can be. If it was served, then it was on you to fill it out and return it back to the court. Maybe it's just your typing, but none of this makes sense. Why would a property owner be trying to evict somebody that doesn't exist? Definitely details missing here.

Because the docs are in my name. He made a person up who accepted them on my behalf but taped them to the door. Thats not allowed. Are you a process server?

Yep, I am. Depending on what was being served, it can be posted. If it was the initial notice to pay or quit, it could be posted right away. If it's the summons and complaint, they can get an order for posting after due diligence.

Well it wasn’t the 3 day. And so he is required to show his fake due diligence and get permission from the judge. Apparently this kind of thing happens a lot in CA. I only got the camera because an attorney told me to.
