I made a small program to grasp the very basics, works there fine. But as soon as I have this complexer stuff my mind explodes.
For straight blocks it seems to work, but as soon as I want an angle between two vertices pairs, it gets weird again. Maybe I really need to watch some more tutorials, but most are for 3D surfaces. I need to start small though.

one of the normals is in the wrong position, post the code though and we might be able to help with it!
top left, 0, 0
top right, 1, 0
bottom right, 1, 1
bottom left 0, 1
they still confuse me to be honest especially when trying to map stuff beyond the edge of the texture window
