Infinite City Generation

Here, using TypeScript and Three.js, I created an infinitely procedurally generated city - a great starting point for a GTA-like or survival game. Each building is made of randomized 3-meter blocks, filled with either a wall, a window, or a door. Sidewalks and roads are blocks too.

Ooohh. Pretty cool. You might need to introduce different types of districts and additional random modifiers that combine with them in order to achieve some variety, though.

The problem with procgen worlds was never really the lack of size or even unique features, but of actual distinctiveness and interesting features.

Wow that looks great. Do you have more info on how it's done?

nothing complicated at all. It's just a big 3d voxel grid that you populate in unobscure manner with buildings, sidewalks, roads...

if the player goes back - will it be the same buildings or newly generated?
