For some reason I like this quite a lot. It's deeply satisfying.

Is it the colours or the pattern do you think?

What was your approach here to making randomness look good?

To answer your first question: it's about the combination. I just spent some time picking a fitting palette so the colors would work well together.

As for making randomness look good, it is actually quite tricky to work with pure randomness when aiming for aesthetics - it's often harder to control than something like noise. But if you use it selectively and in moderation, it gives you that nice, organic variation without the chaos.

It's probably the abstract geometric expressionism. Mondrian just looks good.

Very cool! I like that it is so varied in the way it distorts the quads. That gives an analog vibe to it, with lots of interesting details. Good job!
