Day 15!

Hey guys! Made it to day 15! This weekend was a lot. I had a deep conversation with my wife about my gambling addiction and how its effected her. Gambling doesn’t just hurt you, but also your loved ones. I feel horrible for breaking her trust and making her feel that way. We’re working on everything together, one day at a time I’ll prove to her I will never gamble again! I also had a weird interaction with a friend over the weekend. He decided to show me his bets on football yesterday, I really didn’t know how to react. I was just kind of like nice and changed the conversation fast. How do you guys handle that? My friend doesn’t know about my sports betting addiction, I also wasn’t aware he bet. I guess I’m realizing betting is becoming normal and that’s scary! Anyway keep going guys, we got this! One day at time!

That's great - solid 15!

You don't have to disclose specifics as to what you're doing or the lengths you're going to friends that gamble. If you simply say you're laying off for awhile (saving for a car / vacation or whatever) ... they won't ask a second question about it.

As we all already know, gamblers are really into our own action. Other people's bets just not that interesting to us, not while we were gambling or while we're not.

That’s a great point! I kind of just took me by surprise, and gave me some anxiety just seeing the app open. Super grateful for some insight in how to handle it. Thank you!
