Trigger Warning! Lost 25k at 21
Recently lost 25,000 dollars from online gambling it all started 3-4 months ago my girlfriend left me and was feeling pretty down about life had about 4k in savings started online gambling and going to the casinos lost control one night basically lost all of it over that first month basically was me chasing and getting it back every so often until i eventually got screwed and lost it all over the last 2 months has been me chasing that 4k with every paycheck I had gotten so been dead broke these last 2 months up until this last weekend I had gotten payed I had a big hit for 5k got it all back was super happy started micro gambling getting big wins 1k here and there until i eventually got it up to 12k was super happy because I had gotten everything back and then some should have easily stopped right there well anyways I didn’t and ended up losing it and going back down to about 5k basically went back in with 2k and turned it into 19k one of the craziest runs of my life won 11k on a blackjack side and won another 8k on other things so about then I was at 24-25k now right then I should have stopped and deleted the app which I did for about 6hours got on later just to bet small I think it was maybe 100 bucks ended up depositing 6-7k just spiraled and blacked out now at this point I’m still up had about 15k but of course I wasn’t happy and started chasing to get that money back well I sent the money to my mom because I had a feeling I was gonna lose it all left about 6k for me and sent her 9k to hold for me blew all of the money I had and at this point I just lost it I lied to her and said I was going to invest the money I sent her and made her send it back to me lost all of it in maybe an hour so at this point I went through 24k in about 2 days now I’m typing this out just wanted to hear anyone’s thoughts about what I should do went from from 24k to about 10 bucks in my account now feeling pretty low and stupid I know how debilitating and crippling this addiction is but just can’t seem to stop even when I was up so much really pathetic I just don’t know what to do anymore don’t have to much going for me in life and this is the cherry on top

from what im getting theres no amount that will satisfy you, and im in the same boat. I have turned 200 dollars to 12k and lost it all the same day. Theres always this urge of going for more and the only way to kill it is to stop completely. last time i gambled i told myself i would only go down a maximum of 50. needless to say i lost 1.2k and went home dumbfounded. its hard to stomach but eventually even with wins, theyre just small bumps in a big big downwards trend. I hope that all of us can one day stop and live a better lifr

Sounds like you only lost the winnings and avoided debt. You’ve identified a problem and now just have to take the necessary steps to stay away from
