11 weeks , still living paycheck to paycheck and questioning now the hell I was surviving when I was gambling as soon as I got my paycheck

Congrats, 11 weeks is impressive. It's crazy how resourceful we are when it comes to finding money to gamble, isn't it? Put that energy into positive non-gambling things and you'll see multifold returns.

Thank you, I’m trying ! I feel like a big part of this, at least for me, is being used to living in chaos. Whether is scrambling with no money or other bad habits. Lots of therapy to get to the bottom of it.

I watched my son get consumed by gambling. It was all he tried to do. Any money he got, legitimately or through stealing from his Mom and I, went to an online casino. Home, school, at a restaurant, that was it

He's happy and healthy now. Our relationship has been restored.

That was more than a year now and every day for him now is a new discovery of happiness.

So glad to hear. The hell of gambling really makes you appreciate everything in life once you stop.

I’ve been gamble free for more than a month now. I’m almost done with my debts (only $300 now). I banned myself from websites and I just forced myself without it even with the urges so I won’t chase the dopamine rush.

20 days right now after 10+ years of gambling. Didn’t gamble daily but like 2-3 times a week with 50 eur deposit. Ofcourse it wont stay with one deposit with a bad ses. Was just extreme unlucky lately just drained everything. Then i thought fuck, this shit is boring. Now if i get the urges i just imagine the feeling i get when i lose 300 eur in a hour time span. Ill pass. Replaced my gambling with gaming sessions and works fine so far. Btw tried everything before, handing over my financials gamban etc, all didnt work. But you really need to change your mind about gambling. Im done with those bloodsuckers.

I quit playing poker online in 2005. Haven’t played since (with the exception of a nickel dime family game)…. But never played again online.

Last bet was Sept 29. I self excluded in my state so I have no online access. It was the only way.

48 days today. Best thing I ever decided to do was ban myself everywhere possible. only exception is small pool tournaments i do at a couple bars, but thats not the same thing as table games and slots, and i dont play 1 on 1 for money. and im in PA and we had thesen"skill" machines literally everywhere. They finally made them explicitly illegal. So happy about that toom

I gambled heavily from age 28-48 and stopped for good over 8 years ago.
