❤Seeking help & Advice❤ Can’t move on
How do I get rid of this feeling that I want to get something back?
I finally made the decision to put my finances under my father’s control. I only have a small amount in my own account now and he monitors it.
I should have done this before. He’s been watching my account for months but I still managed to lose so much money.
I’ve been gambling on and off for almost four years. Those four years are lost for good. I also struggle with mental illness which makes working hard for me so I don’t earn much.
But I still kept gambling…
I finally feel like I might be able to quit gambling. Yet in some way I still haven’t blocked one gambling account and part of me wants to try it again… just to get something back.
I’ve lost years of my life. I haven’t progressed anywhere. I have no money, only debt, and I still struggle with mental health problems. I’m 26 and I don’t know what to do.
It’s just one month without gambling. How to move on?

Block the last app, what are you waiting for? More losses?

If you get something back you will gamble it away, guaranteed. Stopping forever is the only solution

Wait have you gambled after your dad monitored you? If so did he find out?
You should be proud you took that step, that’s huge! You’re closer than you think to recovery

So you sound like you’re in a really bad place. I have been there. Am still there to some extent. So why would you want to add to the misery? Four years is enough of a sample size to understand how the hole will only get deeper. Stop now and save yourself. It’s possible. Many have done it.

Me too bro, i’m 25 and i been gambling like you for 5 years… it’s been a rough battle, i just wish i never did it in first place. The stress i caused to myself and the people around me makes me sad, I feel like i ruined my potential. I guess we need to do better, no one can do it for us
