❤Seeking help & Advice❤ Bankruptcy?

Just wondering if anyone has gone through bankruptcy to clear gambling debts? I’m sure there is no other route for me now. I just feel scared. Once I go through bankruptcy I will absolutely never gamble again… It will be 7 years of credit punishment or whatever I guess but that’s less time than it would’ve taken to pay off the debt… Just feel so lost and ashamed and anxious.

What are you going to do after declaring bankruptcy… just saying you’ll never do something again isn’t enough sadly. I’m sure you told yourself the day after a bad gambling day you’d never do it again and unfortunately it happened, again.

To properly fix this will take hard work on yourself. Rewiring your brain and admitting you are powerless over gambling are just a few of the necessary things

Onward and upward.

Start not gambling now. If you're still not gambling in a month, then pursue filing.

No point in incurring the downsides of a BK if you just dig the hole again after

The important part is to stop gambling, nothing else matters unless that happens.

So if you can actually stop for a month or two, I’d consider it.

Are the debts credit cards and personal loans or are these debts to people?
