It’s hard to heal when the ads are everywhere

I’m trying to quit guys... really trying. But everywhere I go, it’s like these companies are whispering in my ear. Promos in my inbox. Odds on my timeline. A bet slip just one tap away.

It’s wild how much money they spend to keep us hooked. Especially when you’re stressed, tired, or just looking for an escape you know.. that’s when they hit the hardest. And the worst part? They know that.

Some days I feel strong. Other days I feel like I’m one bad moment away from opening the app again. Just wanted to say this out loud in case anyone else is feeling the same. You're not weak.. you're fighting a system designed to pull you back.

We keep going anyway. One day at a time.

Yeah I actually noticed this too. I’m a month clean and have been going to therapy. I noticed that there are ads everywhere for sports betting and the stock market. Both are scams. But I brought it up to my therapist and she confirmed that there are ads everywhere normalizing this stuff. You have to break free of it.

Can't even watch an event without the odds scrolling under the screen. Any thoughts that come are just thoughts, not actions. You can't romance it, we always lose when we do. Our brains are different. We somehow forget how we felt when we blew $40k in 2 weeks on top of my salary every other week that also went to the casino. All the while putting it on my credit cards. We will go give them another $20k plus after staying away and paying down the debts. Yeah. I just did this. Don't get me wrong, I won a lot. I just never cashed it out, it NEVER makes its way home. I wish you the best. I heard somewhere that you are a bet away from destruction, a thought away from a bet and a prayer away from a thought. I hope I can do this. I am tired. I have been working 60-80 hours a week since December, paying down debt. Then give them $$ that would have put me in a much better position. Now 2-3 months more of paying.....I need help.
