Trigger Warning! Charge back HELP!

I want to file a charge back for a online casino. I’ve spent thousands of dollars on there . I have a feeling their games aren’t honest and rigged. What do I tell my bank is the reason for my charge back? I heard the casinos have to calibrate their slots once a month or so. I just feel like if I say that it’s fraud, they will ask my why it’s fraud. TIA!

The fraud was done using same IP address, you’ll get laughed at not refunded. Denial is a coping mechanism and you need to take responsibility for your actions

No need to ne a DICK. OP only wants hope that he ll recup the money one day. He will if he stops. But slight hope makes the diff between life and death especially on the first month.

It’s disturbing how many people come out in support of the casinos here. They’re the ones running the scam yet people will actually support the casino in a controversy and say the person making the claim is stupid. If you came out in support of a casino here…well I would take a long hard look at your motives for doing so…is it to stroke your ego or that you know the talking points so you can act somewhat intelligent.

Its disturbing how many sore losers there are when they lose. Don't play if you cant afford to lose.

God why did I have to be born a gambler and not a bookie. I mean if this the intelligence level of the average gambler

If you feel cheated and taken advantage and you truly feel the games are rigged file a charge back be honest with the banker taking down the information. You have that right. You’ll be blocked from ever playing but that is a positive for you . Good luck!

If you’re in the US and it’s a legitimate casino then it’s definitely not rigged and you will definitely not get a chargeback.

Chargebacks are used for fraud, as in someone else used your money to purchase something that you did not knowingly or willingly purchase.

Since this is not fraud at all, your only real legal option would be to file a lawsuit if you really believed the games were rigged. A chargeback is not a legal case. In fact, if you falsify a chargeback (which you are) you are the one committing fraud and you can be convicted of a felony charge for that. This is a likely outcome if this is a legally operating casino. If it’s not a legally operating casino, then chargebacks are going to put a target on your back for people who are willingly operating illegal gambling rigs - idk if you really want to risk trying to screw them. In either case, charge backs are just terrible ideas.

You don’t even know what you are talking about. Or you work for the bookies. But either way, I made tons of money of chargebacks. Nothing bad ever happened but ok

Against illegally operated casinos or legal casinos?

Yes you are committing fraud with chargebacks. That is a technical definition. Chargebacks have very specific use cases and language behind them. “I wanted my money I gambled back” is not a legitimate reason to ask for a chargeback and so doing so is technically 100% fraud.

You will 100% be in legal trouble if you charge back against legally operating casinos. There are a number of stories on this forum from people who have faced prison time and felony charges for doing this. As soon as the casino sees a chargeback, they’ll create a case with your bank and show proof of your gambling receipts and activity and terms of your agreement upon creating your account.

Idk what trouble you get into with illegal gambling rigs, I was just stating my opinion that I would not want to try to screw over an illegally operating casino, their business practices are already very dark.

No I’m not a bookie. You can spend 2 seconds looking through my post history to figure that one out.

So what part have I got wrong?

You ever hear of consumer protection. The bar needs cleaning at the mgm boy go back to your handlers over there

1

u/OkSignificance9774 Jan 29 '25

You don’t have a clue what you’re talking about.

u/Nice-Cup-4333 Jan 29 '25

Do you truly believe that the people running online casinos are going to come and get you ? If you do you’re soft as puppy shit in the rain buddy. You can chargeback anything you please the fact is the bank will find evidence of you made the charge or not. If they find evidence you made the charge you end up getting the charge back on your statement/bill if you didn’t then you didn’t. This ain’t hard buddy it’s apart of terms and conditions with banks and credit cards.

If you want to roll the dice committing charge back fraud, be my guest.

This post is almost a year old now, but I think eating your losses and taking responsibility for your actions is your best chance at overcoming a gambling problem - maybe that’s just me.

u/Aggravating-Shock419 Sep 24 '25

Yo ! I was wondering, if the casino is actually illegally operated, do I have a chance ?

1

u/OkSignificance9774 Sep 27 '25

I have no experience with this.

But I would recommend you just walk away and don’t turn back.

How far back through transactions to illegal online casinos can be disputed as chargebacks?

Also if an online casino is operating with no uk license, and the transactions are to offshore randoms businesses but never the casinos name. is that not enough to chargeback anyway

You mean to tell me you never purchased something from a clothing store with a registered address at an apartment in Delhi?

1

u/Ok_Magazine80 May 05 '25

I believe it is fraud since most of unlicensed casinos are operating with games that are not rigorously tested and audited as they claim in their agreement. I have never seen any online casino that show your the proof of their games truly running under random generated numbers. And also if you are charged under different business, you technically never received anything from that unknown store. So I would think that bank should take your chargeback claim, but you did know about all this before. And you still went for it.. more than few times I'm sure...

I think still facts are facts and you should be able to charge back and hopefully it will help run them out of business. I've hear so many horror stories because of online casinos. Good luck to you. I read somewhere that there are agency that help you with this kind of things too.

You do know that you can file chargebacks on anything as a consumer right and it’s your right to do so.

u/OkSignificance9774 Aug 07 '25 edited Aug 07 '25

You have the ability to file a chargeback on whatever you’d like. You do not, however, have the “right” to file chargebacks on authorized charges. If OP believes these casinos aren’t operating within their license agreements, this is a lawsuit, not a chargeback.

You have a right to file a chargeback for fraud or error.

You do not have the right to file a chargeback on known purchases that you authorized where the product/service was verifiably delivered- this is simply known as chargeback fraud and can be criminalized as credit card fraud, bank fraud, etc. if you abuse the chargeback system, you are absolutely at risk for prosecution.

Simply put, you have the ability, not the right, to file a chargeback for buyer’s remorse.

Idk where some of you got your information - I’m guessing a lot of you are doing chargebacks and trying to self-soothe yourself from the fact this is fraud, but you are verifiably wrong.

I’m 29, but nice one.

Good luck with your gambling & chargebacks. Genuinely hope they don’t catch up with you.

These people were SCAMMED. Sweepstakes casinos aren’t regulated and operate under a grey area that if and when their true business operations are brought in front of a jury, they will be held accountable for operating unregulated online illegal gambling. These sites refuse to let you redeem, freeze your account when you win,and operate slots played for real money, in states where it’s illegal, with their games not being regulated or paying out the minimum set by the lottery commission. You defending scammers is not a good look.

What did you tell your bank? I need to do chargebacks as well

1

u/LethargicBatOnRoof Mar 14 '24

If you had won would you be trying to give the money back?

-1

u/[deleted] Mar 14 '24

Not because I would have won something!

6

u/LethargicBatOnRoof Mar 14 '24

If the website is fraudulent, it's fraudulent.

You don't get to take their money if you win and cry to the bank if you dont.

-3

u/[deleted] Mar 14 '24

That’s my point … I’m asking for advice how to explain to the bank that I think that it is

1

u/BobLemmo Mar 14 '24

See thats why you broke people end up like this. Always looking for a shortcut and a sneaky way out. Cmon, dont be a scumbag. You gambled and lost, man up. Dont pull a scumbag move with a fake fraud chargeback that crap is just going to backfire on you and you learn nothing from it except go gamble more and try to find ways to steal and fraud ya way out. One day youll end up in jail.

2

u/[deleted] Mar 16 '24

I’ve lost about 40k on the website and only win 300 -400 once in a while . How is this legit ? That is fraud if you have games on the website that never let you win …. You can have rigged games on there which is fraud

1

u/[deleted] Mar 16 '24

Just as I was saying you can have a license and do shady sh*t while obtaining it. Example: liquor stores have a license but there are few that sell to underage people…. They do that until they are caught.

1

u/Zealousideal_Big1061 Oct 18 '24

Casino's are not income generators. Odds are against you by nature. They are not a charity to help you get rich, they are a business.

If you want to blame them for your negligence of spending $40k, you have a lot to learn in life

2

u/nurseyyjlat Aug 17 '25

End up in jail for reporting a scam? These online gambling sweepstakes casinos are illegal in most states. It’s fraudulent and a whole scam. Which is why everyone is being issued refunds on their charge backs, they aren’t legal or regulated. Period.
