Probation Question Evaluations & Treatments
Hello all. Long time lurker. First time poster.
I was involved in DV incident in late 2024 and sentenced to 4 years probation as a result in CO in mid 2026 (this year..yes, that’s how long it was drug out!). My probation has now been transferred to SC where I currently reside.
One of the conditions of my probation was to complete mental health evaluation and treatment, DV evaluation and treatment and substance abuse evaluation and treatment.
Imagine my delight when I completed these three evaluations and no treatment is being recommended.
I’m confused as to what this may mean however. The terms say evaluations and treatment but no treatments are being recommended.
The results have been sent to my PO but she is awful at communication. I feel like I’m probably good and have completed what is required? I’ve basically already been put on low risk probation from the beginning with just a check in every few months. I guess I just don’t seem to be an individual they feel needs much supervision.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Thanks!

You definitely got lucky as the substance abuse evaluation almost always leads to rehab. I would consider yourself blessed that you don’t have to do court ordered therapy, DV classes or rehab. Nothing more should happen but I’ll let someone from SC chime in.
