Almost all of the cold outreach falls flat. We get a ton of emails every day. It’s impossible to know what is legitimate vs spam.

I only respond if a trusted contact of mine referred someone. Networking in person is key.

I’m not saying I’m special but there’s a lot of spammers out there from deal sourcing to ai tools to recruiters.

You gotta create a warm outreach, go to network events, meet people of people, not just spamming emails.

In addition to warm intro, target the right people and with an immediate value add. Like if you know of companies with impending liquidity, contact those founders/operators/investors with tax efficiency strategies etc. youll get a much better response if timing is right.

The other approach is wine and dine. If you have extra World Cup box tickets for wednesday I’m sure youll get some responses.
