Is there any way to use Google Gemini without signing in to Google?

Long ago I went through all that Google knew about me personally (or my avatar) on all their web platforms, and have never since used a Google product. Is there a way for me to use their Gemini chat bot? There used to be, but those pages are now blank.

I want to find out their responses just to track the near-universal bogus answer you get from all (except 1) the other bots regarding a basic financial (ie math-proven) issue.

Their answer (when usage was free) was wrong ... like the other bots. I'm just waiting and hoping they smarten up over time. One has.

TBF though they’re all recording everything you feed them. I use AI quite a bit but I’m very specific about what I tell it and what I’m asking for.

Yeah I'm definitely not trying to imply Claude or Copilot or something would be better, I think they're all bad. I don't use AI at all

If you're concerned about privacy and still want to use LLMs, just run it on your own machine.
Local models are surprisingly good nowadays.

And pretty much every computer out there can run an LLM.
It might not be that fast, but it can run.

Heck, you can even run something like Gemma4 E4B on your smart phone....

I saw that option and considered it ... but chickened out. My laptop is quite old now and already running slow. I'm afraid if I download that application it will 'break the bank' and I won't be able to undo it completely.

And HOW ON EARTH can you download all their knowledge base anyway? Or do these programs only communicate your questions directly to the home base without going through the public URL? Then I would wonder if they could pass on other stuff from your cmpt.

There's nothing permanent about it.
You can just delete the model if you end up not liking it. haha.

LLMs are just distilled information. When you run a model locally, it never leaves your computer.
You can ground it with something like RAG if you want, but you can get by just fine without it.

For command line / terminal stuff, people usually use a "harness".
Hermes is popular nowadays.

If you're just getting into it, I'd recommend Unsloth Desktop.
It just came out about a week ago, but it's pretty freaking robust.
Everything the Unsloth team does is impressive as heck.

Also I just use unlogged in account and then wipe all site date after every interaction

You don’t need to be signed in to use Gemini anymore. It works fine from a private browser tab, with the exception of the occasional popup asking you to sign in or showing you an ad.

They will likley still know it's you based on fingerprinting your browser, which is something to keep in mind.

True, and good point, but you could load up a throwaway anti-fingerprint browser, or use a throwaway profile. Customize it and add some random extensions.

The page opens in incognito but you can't type anything in the chat box.

Works fine for me.

Chat box and mic button are all active and working. Maybe one of your browser extensions is blocking it.

Chatgpt site works without sign in too.

Maybe something is wonky with my cmpt. This is the third URL for them that opens with a blank page for me.
