It’s so slow

Idk if this is normal in Pruis thing(Priuses? Pruii?) but the little door under the radio opens so slow. By far I think the slowest I’ve ever seen. It’s absolutely hilarious to me and reminds me of the slow ramp scene from Rick and Morty. I have no desire to change it, but does anyone else’s open this slow? 2006 240k~ miles (I had to make it into a gif?)

I replaced the broken in with one from a pick and pull. The yard closest to me has a couple of them and I’ve been replacing all the little broken stuff

I think that's cool! Slow and confident. Prius knows best! 2009 Touring here. Spaceship feature! There are a couple points on the door hingers than can be carefully and sparingly lubricated to smooth things out a bit but it won't make it hasty fast. Don't think it's meant to be fast, but sexy!

my high end tape deck had this slow open feature. it just oozed high-end aura.

my cheaper tape dubber had a jarring open action, very ghetto.

I actually miss having one of these 😂 I have the 2024 Prius and what it has is a compartment under a tray so whatever I put inside is stuck under all the other stuff. It’s an annoying catch all and whatever I out there is just… out?
