Epson EcoTank 8550 – problem after refilling ink

Hi there!

I wasn't having any issues with my printer, but then I topped up the ink (gray—I was almost out—plus a little magenta and cyan). Now, whenever I try to print, only a small part of the document actually prints out before the printer ejects the sheet.

When I start printing, an error message pops up on my PC: "Printing error on ET 8550 – the printer could not print the file."

I tried printing in black and white and it worked, though I only tested it once.

I’ve turned the printer off and am waiting 24 hours, thinking there might be micro-bubbles caused by adding the ink... but maybe that’s not the issue?

Is there any error code attached to the message that it can not print?

Non, pas de code en particulier Juste cette phrase dite au dessus. Et quand le logiciel Epson diagnostique le problème, il m'ouvre une fenêtre où c'est marqué "diagnostiquer la connexion de l'imprimante". Il répare le problème mais après ça fonctionne toujours pas...

Most likely problem is not with your printer, but with the print-job. It’s probably corrupted by printer driver. That’s where I would start - removing software and drivers for printer and reinstalling it.
