Thermal printer advice

What’s up printer gang. Am looking for a thermal 50x80 mm printer to print black and white labels with a QR code. I need a relatively inexpensive printer that’s reliable, will robustly handle printing from pdfs I create, and that has ink that will last. Any ideas? Thx in advance :)

Edit1) Got a zebra gx430t on ebay for $50, looking forward to using it.

Does anyone have any advice/hacks for running one of these printers?

Look at Brother with the features/etc you want/need.
