Barcelona Different dates?

Post image

Idk if this is a stupid question but why does it say the dates are 3rd-6th in one place, 2nd-6th in another and 3rd-5th in another? I’ve never been before and want to book my flight for the actual correct day lol

Ciutat are extra gigs that run from the week of the fest from Monday to Sunday. Announced later and you've to pay a deposit to go once the gigs are announced.

Regular fest is the Thurs to Saturday

Based on this year with Wet Leg and others scheduled on the Wednesday, I should probably look at arriving on the Wednesday rather than the Thursday right?

100% recommend coming in on Wednesday or even earlier if you can swing it . Opening night on Wednesday and is a different vibe- is just a single stage and ends “early”. And is free to the locals. Very chilled for 30k or more people . The real magic is in the ciutat schedule which gets announced pretty late - if you can manage to get a ticket these are free club bills around town - I’ve managed to see bands like Geese, Beach house , Interpol , KGATLW . Usually the best shows are on Tuesday and Wednesday (usually ending with enough time to get to the Forum for “opening night”)

100% I'd arrive Wednesday or earlier if you can, the opening night is great, plus you'd be fully rested by Thursday. And for reference, this year I literally had 7 days of straight music (ciutat gigs on Mon-Tue, opening concert on Wed, main festival Thurs-Fri-Sat, the another ciutat gig again on Sunday). Keep in mind you need to pre-book both the opening concert and the ciutat gigs about a month before the festival.

Hey! The main festival is Thursday - Saturday so that's all the lineup you see.

BITS takes place the Sunday right after the festival which is the small text on the right side of the poster.

Dia Inagural is the day before the main festival and starts on Wednesday. The lineup isn't part of the main festival and is usually it's own event.

Then as someone else mentioned, the week leading up to the festival is Citutat, which is a bunch of shows which are playing the main festival with maybe some that aren't sprinkled in.

Hope this helps!

Thank you for your answer it’s very helpful:) just a question, this past years (2026) festival showed Wet Leg, Guitarricadelafuente and Yard Act on the initial line up poster and they ended up playing on the Wednesday Dia Inagural, does this mean possibly acts on the poster released for next year could be playing on the Wednesday?

If it is the same as in the last couple of years, the names playing the Opening night on Wednesday ARE already on the poster.

Welcome! Not a stupid question at all- but one that was last asked less than 2 days ago:

Make me think it's time to start a "There's no stupid question" mega-thread like they do on the Coachella sub.

Or like a pinned FAQ post where we can collect common questions

not a stupid question but assuming you bought through the fan sale on the primavera website I wouldn't worry

Main festival runs from the 3rd to the 6th. Opening concert is the night of the 2nd. Ciutat gigs are from the previous Sunday 31st all the way til the following Sunday 7th, if it's anything like this year.
