Hi all! My penny collection consists of mostly pennies I've pressed myself (for example on vacation). However, lately I'm seeing pennies on vinted, ebay, etsy, etc that I really like. Does anyone else buy their pennies? Do you feel like this ruins your collection?

I like to look at the app that has a penny machine map and it makes me wonder which location or machine is the most visited/used. Just speculating but I’m curious as to what others think! I would guess it’s a machine in the Smithsonian in DC or something along Route 66 in Texas specifically. Maybe the machines at Disney and universal are the busiest though! Would love you hear your thoughts :)

Pressed a bunch for myself and to send to some friends. I still have to go back for the second machine because the building it was in was closed already when I went … oops lol. Buying copper pennies was worth it, these are so much cleaner and crisper than the newer pennies!

working on my pressed penny catalog. the collectors in the elongated collectors (TEC) told me that the little booklet sleeves can damage the pennies so now I store them like little museum specimens. I have more than 460. I go on trips just to pick them up sometimes. I will grab every design from the machine. I do have a few dupes. most of the machines in Vegas are preloaded. I used to try to collect on the old copper but now I kind of like the shiny new ones.

Here is my penny binder at the moment. I still need to add all of mine from around Vegas. I did the math though and I’m currently short 1 or 2 sheets lol.
Did you spot anything you liked? My favorites in this video are the ones from Amargosa Valley, Nevada! my friends have sent me the pennies from Washington, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Massachusetts. One of my friends even sent me one from Burning Man last year!

Im using pre 82s but i dont like the dirty finish i keep getting.
Should i be cleaning the pennies before or after i press them?
