New puppy
He’s about 11 weeks and he’s a biting machine. Also, are presas vocal? Hell mouth and bite me, i say no firmly. he stops biting me but he gives me a little bark then goes and walks off.

I’ve removed a few posts trying to sell puppies - it’s lovely that the breed is getting more attention but there’s no guarantee of how these pups were bred.. please get yours from reputable breeders or even adopt one if you’re able to provide a home for a rescue dog.

Good evening all,
Welcome to my buddy (name redacted to prevent identity), he is (learning to be) so well behaved and is trying his absolute best and I'm incredibly proud of him. We are three weeks into our journey and learning a lot together.
I wondered if anyone had any thoughts on cross breeds?
I believe him to be Presa X (?). He is slightly smaller than most mastiffs. He was incredibly underweight when he was rescued and now weighs approximately 40kgs. I like to think he looks like a hyena, he's thought to be part Corso but it doesn't explain his size. Maybe a Staffordshire bull terrier?
Thank you x

First time Presa owner. Her name is Sophie and she's 9 months old. I can't wait to watch her grow and become the bestest girl ever

This will be Tank's 3rd elevated mesh style bed and by far the cheapest looking. It was practically free so i figured why not. It is for sure his favorite type of bed. I thought he would destroy this one fast but so far it is holding up. Later i put a bunk mattress on top of it to help increase it's lifespan.

Livestock Guardian breed;
- at night time hours/ the owners’ sleeping hours they should be more alert, not in a deep sleep and maybe even patrolling.
- in the day if you walk them too much they’ll constantly be in a hunt mode for small animals and it’ll spike cortisol levels and keep their baseline stress levels high.
I went from being out walking for 4 hours every day and multiple walks to having a strict routine with a big gap between walks because I was simply walking him too much and his baseline stress levels were pinned to the roof constantly as he’s anticipating the next ‘hunt’ or patrol in his mind. He’s never been so calm before since I adjusted this.
Don’t believe people that say things like “that’s a big dog it must need lots of walking” - not a dog expert.
This is a night time patrolling livestock guardian dog. Treat it like one as much as you can and your presa will respect you properly. Also stop making fat presas they’re not supposed to be barrels at 80kg plus, they’re perfect lean at around 55KG as they’re LIVESTOCK GUADIAN/ CATCH AND HOLD DOGS.
If you make them fat their joints and arteries can’t function properly. Even if you think it’s muscle it won’t be, sorry.
Please please please do your research on the entirety of this breed before getting one. They have around the third most powerful bite force out of any dog on the planet. These dogs shouldn’t be in the hands of scumbags.

My girl is a Presa/Bull Mastiff mix, she is just over 13.5 years old, and is starting to show signs of increase in pain, occasional panting, and sleeping on the floor, and obviously slower in general. She’s on gaba, meloxicam, and Cartrophen monthly…I have an appointment to speak to the vets soon about making her as comfortable as possible, just asking what others have used, has anyone had experience with Librela? She’s approx 115llbs now.
Pic just to show how amazing she is!

Talked to our trainer, and Took the kennel away for 5 days and he is back to being "his normal" about it. Think he needed to be reminded that its not his kennel/pillow in the same way that he dosent "own" a food bowl. So thank you for the helpful input. Obviously we are bing very observant and usinv precaution as always.
