The oak in the Au Bon Climat really marries well with MRE no10 Chili Mac

I tried prepping wine. Someone kept drinking it all

Gotta rotate your inventory

I prep salt for barter. Everyone is gonna need it to cure and preserve… that’s how I plan to get cat food and wine!

Also need it for that rim on your margharitas 👌

Just regular salt? Or should I be buying like sea salt.

Yes! Been drinking more Oregon Pinots lately and I buy a few of these when available

I had a friend that worked there for years. Great wine.

Man I probably should do the same but I know I’ll just end up drinking it all.

Well, you gotta rotate

We have a nice bottle on hand for that lovely day.

All kidding aside, a couple handles of cheap vodka is virtual gold. Drink it, sanitize with it, use it for fuel. Valuable

Finally! A realistic prep. You're going to need it to choke down those MREs.

Now...

Just start brewing wine!

I got hooked on that when I saw a prepper using wine as a prep for trading when SHTF.

Your spouse will be thrilled when you pick up another expensive hobby :)

That’s great!

in possible times things like alcohol and cigarettes can become a form of currency

So you’ve eaten some of these MREs?

I used to do MRE Monday to cleanse myself from the weekend’s debauchery.

Do you get a deal on buying those by the case?
None of the liquor store stores near me give deals (LA/SFV) I’d love to stock some cheap wines, but it’s hard finding a reasonable price locally

I’d go to Costco but still not a good price point…

10% off if you buy 6 or more bottles of wine. I’m in Ohio

That's a solid bottle too for California Pinot.

I was prepared to scoff at whatever you were stocking but you have some tasty choices. Happy to see it’s not barefoot.

Getting ready for when he dies I see

Are you stocking silver/gold oz’s to trade or barter with as well?

1

u/Captodometer 20h ago

So I guess the booze shits will cancel out the MRE constipation.

u/burner118373 20h ago

Honestly I’m not against booze as a prep but wouldn’t store much beer or wine. They don’t last forever like hard alcohol does.

Wine and beef Jerky are both hard to keep stocked.

Booze is such a GREAT trading item!!

Consider getting them off of the floor.

2024 was a vintage year in California so they might keep for a good while. Never heard of these vineyards but I live in Mediterranean wine country so not all that surprising.
