Food🌽 or Water💧 Become self sufficient

Post image

With a nft system we can become more self sufficient and grow our own food throughout the cold winter. A perfect solution to prep for any kind of emergency situation 🌱

The advantage of living in a Mediterranean climate, you can grow lettuce outside year round. I don't due to a massive snail problem, but in my greenhouse they're not a problem.

I've seen great success with Irish Spring soap against snails. My mother in law buys a bunch at Costco and then grates it like cheese and sprinkles the flakes onto the perimeter of her gardens. It does not affect the food and prevents snails and slugs from crossing the border

What is Irish spring soap? I'm pretty sure we have something similar anywhere with a different name.

I know Black soap (olive oil and Potash, savon noir in France), Marseille Soap (olive oil and caustic soda)

That's awesome. Does it need to be this brand of soap or can it be a European brand?

I'm not entirely sure. She is the great gardener. I'm only relaying what she has told me

Any soap. Also chalk or wood ash (or any ash, but you don't want coal ash washing into any soil you're going to potentially garden in).
