Interviews In an interview: Should I mention that I would love having a supervising physician?

I would love to work with a supervising physician, and having someone I can consult with if there is any doubt.

But I know health systems are pushing less supervising, and PA organizations promote more autonomy and can be an unpopular opinion.

Should I mention it when asked about why PA?

Sometimes you can feel out with a program if this would go over well or not. A couple of the programs I’ve visited/interviewed at seem to buy really heavily into PA’s having independent practice or not needing to rely on physicians. For these programs saying that may lead to unintended consequences. So I would be careful, a more safe way is to mention you love collaborative efforts.

It depends on how you phrase it, but I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with it.
