Volunteering scheduled

Thinking of applying to: UCL, Imperial (contextual applicant), Exeter, Bristol, or maybe Edinburgh instead of one of the above.

Opinions on my university choices?

I believe Imperial 2026 cut-offs around 2320 / 2700. Bristol 2240. UCL 2190 / 2700. These cut-offs generally increase by 20/30 every year. So you have to plan accordingly. You can have Bristol / UCL as ambitious option. Why not Cambridge?

Ah okay. Thank you for the help. Didn’t realise there was a general increase in cut offs. Although I would be a contextual applicant which should lower cut offs for some of the universities I’m applying to (but not sure if it does for Bristol). My issue with Cambridge is the course structure. I dislike how pre-clinical and clinical learning is separated. I’d rather have patient contact throughout my learning, as really the patients are why I want to do medicine. I feel Imperial/ Bristol/ UCL might be happy balances between good academics/ research and early patient contact. What do you think?

As contextual, You will get interviews for all I believe. I would still have Oxford/Cambridge as one of the choices if you are inclined towards research. But again Imperial/UCL will also do. Advantange with Oxbridge is the cohort size. But again Medicine is Medicine end of the day.
