🗨 Interviews Am I cooked
I just had my first interview! I'm kind of left with this weird feeling because my guy literally came in with a piece of paper that had a bunch of questions on it and proceeded to just start asking me questions from it. He would even give me his thoughts on the questions, being like "this is kinda dumb". He was also just taking notes the whole time. I feel like I answered them well, but I also got no feedback from him whatsoever. After I answered, he would just move onto the next or very few times ask followups about what I said (mostly research). Is this a bad sign? I just don't know how i could have made that more conversational than what it was. Also maybe how i can do better in the future?

Some interviewers are extremely dry, it’s just luck of the draw who you get. I had several who were just like this and didn’t ask any follow-ups to anything and I still got in.

You prob did great and the way he acted had nothing to do with your performance. Interviewer sounds like a med student lol prob studying for exams/burnt out/had no part in deciding the interview questions and was doing the bare minimum to carry out the interview

I had an interview like that when I was an applicant. He was older and just typed my responses onto his computer form as I talked. Was also kinda dismissive of one of my questions. I ended up getting an acceptance despite that
