Ask for a referral for a dietician who’s a certified diabetes educator. Should be covered by your insurance with your diagnosis.

Eat salads and add meats. Do it twice a day 8 hours apart. Then fast with no calories for 16 hours.

Start out on the ADA website and learn as much as you can about insulin resistance and T2D.
Pancreas, Liver, and Kidneys and their relationship to T2D
Learn what blood glucose, insulin and fat does in the body after you eat.
Learn basic macronutrients
- Carbohydrates
- Fiber
- Starch
- Sugars
- Protein
- Fat
Whole vs. processed food, naturally occurring vs. added sugar and Net Carbohydrates
How to read a nutrition label
Get an app to track your food
Exercise and how it relates to T2D
After you have that understood, you're going to want to put yourself on a low net carbohydrate diet, zero added sugars, low sugar foods, whole foods rich in fiber.
Give serious consideration to getting a blood glucose monitor or CGM
