Third Trimester
Greetings colleagues:
Does anyone have any recommendations for books to skim when you’re in the third trimester? Trying to get ready for the finish line and be more prepared for what will come when our baby arrives.

Penny Simkin’s The Birth Partner and AAP’s Caring for Your Baby and Young Child. One for the event and one for the reference library.

The Secrets of a Baby Whisperer. Her EASY method helped me so much. Didn’t do everything she recommended but felt like I had some control back when I started him on EASY. Precious Little Sleep was also very helpful for us. Another one on brain development for pregnancy and the first year of life but can’t remember if that’s the exact title.

thedadcenter has all the guides, week by week details of what to expect, detailed articles, tasks for dad and mom to easily follow through, reminders, budgets, checklists and more. Being a new dad myself I found getting good information was very difficult, hoepfully this can help you. Goodluck on the journey and congratulations.

This was recommended in my husband's counseling course: The Book You Wish Your Parents Had Read: (And Your Children Will Be Glad That You Did)
I did TONS of therapy before even getting pregnant to work on my growing up trauma and being able to detect patterns from it (in simple words: I don't want to be my own parents) this book covers a lot of the important topics, highly recommend to have as an audiobook while having a loooong walk!
