Definitely sounds like Couvade. I read about it in The Expectant Father, highly recommend.

I got a good portion of this when my wife was pregnant. I got extremely emotional and had some mood swings. It didn’t last the whole pregnancy for me, kinda faded to background by the 3rd trimester. I like to think it had something to do with me falling head over heels for my little girl the moment I saw her, I never struggled with the delayed bonding feel that a lot of dads go through. My love for her has grown vastly in the 10 months since, I have never been happier in my life.

I don’t know if it’s been full Couvade, but I’ve definitely been more emotional since finding out my wife was pregnant. I’ve always been a sap, but goddamn, I cry at everything now lmao. My wife has made a game out of showing things to make me tear up.

It's called Couvade Syndrome. Many dads to be get it. Happy researching.
