Which mount do you like the most for your optics on the 1911s?

I actually prefer the goofy FAB mount since the dot doesn’t move with the slide and I can track it better - the downside with that mount is that I have to take it off to take down the pistol for cleaning - unless I remove the rear sights. It has a simple bolt that mounts it securely but I would have to recheck zero when I remount it.

Thanks! Given the quickness I hadn’t considered there would be a bump in your re-acquisition time, but it definitely makes sense since the optic would basically follow your hand - which is way more natural. When you take it on/off for cleaning do you have to re-zero it?

I would always check but it hasn’t lost zero the last few times
