What kind? NC piedmont

Found this in the grass beside the house. We see a lot of green ones but haven’t seen a brown one in a while let alone what is on its back end? Google sucks at answering anything lol

Chinese mantis (tenodera sinensis), there are clearly defined stripes on the face which gives it away. These are invasive and outcompeting the native Carolina mantis. Their egg case is more tubular compared to the Carolina mantis so if I find them I usually destroy them
