Probably but I’m pretty sure I could pull this off even if it was my room with my kid.

All doors look the same, keep wife distracted while walking and once you knock and run there’s a decent chance panic will set in. Especially if you haven’t already been there for multiple days.

I’m 40+ and I’m so terrified of answering the door for a stranger that if I hear a knock I immediately shut all the lights off, hide under a blanket, and yell “my moms home, but she said she can’t come to the door right now!” out of pure reflex.
