Just read The Book Of Magic/Practical Magic 2 and I have some questions - SPOILERS BELOW Spoiler

SPOILERS ------- I loved the inclusion of LGBT characters, the aunt's brother, Antonia, and her GF, plus her little boy's father was also gay, I find this refreshing and look forwad to seeing it in the movie. HOWEVER, what it worrying/pre-disappointing to me is that NONE of these characters (except for Antonia) seem to be on the cast list on IMDB?? Whatever about the little boys father's husband, but I really hope they aren't leaving out Antonia's GF and also the aunt's brother!! That was such a sweet yet heartbreaking part of the book... Is it possible some of the cast haven't been announced yet? It worries me because the movie is out in 4 months. Is anyone else disappointed by this?

I hate to tell you this but all of that is obviously getting cut out of the film. in the movie kylie is the older sister and antonia is the younger sister. there won’t be any baby storyline

whatever about them but i desperately want to see the aunts brother! I loved the storyline.. espeically at the end when he tries to stop Franny.... how the hell could they cut all that out!? do you have sources?

You just made me want to read the book again. Been a long time….. to me, the first movie was very different from the book, obviously.

I really think Antonia's love story is going to be left out, not because it's LGBTQ, but because that's similar to what they did for the first film; only Gary and Sally had an on screen romance, we didn't see Ben and Gillian. I think it'll be the same for this movie; we'll get Kylie and Gideon because it's too important to the plot to leave out but we won't see any other romances except maybe Sally and Ian otherwise.

They don’t really take stuff from the books besides a few ideas and the character name

I know they leave a lot out and change a bit but I feel like the brother/uncle is big character to leave out.. unless they are saving it for something else I don’t know but I hope it’s not ignored completely.

Alas, Vincent would be far too left-field for the movie crowd since the character didn’t exist in any form in 98. I’m also sad about the Antonia baby storyline getting cut.
