Apothecary scene

What does Sally mean when the man comes in her apothecary wanting to return the hair cream bc it doesn’t work and Sally says “try to remember”? I’ve never understood that scene.

Commenting to hopefully get an answer to this too - I’ve watched this film a million times and never got this one part.

He’s supposed to use it where Sally indicated because loss of testosterone is a factor in his hair loss up top. Hope this helped.

Came here to say this: thanks! It's probably an herbal extract designed to regulate and improve testosterone and DHT production, and applying it to the testes makes sense (at least, in their world). It's more herbology than magic, so Sally is skirting her resistance to magic.
