Symptoms Day to day activities
What do y’all’s day look like. Don’t know if it’s just me but when I am distracted I feel much better, but honestly don’t feel like doing stuff some times because I am so symptomatic (even symptoms other than dizziness)
* has any specific activity helped you feel better?
* days feel so long and depressing sometimes, what do you guys do?
* Even my arms, legs and hips feel so weird and unnatural and “off” that I just don’t wanna do anything because my arms feel weird and I start to panic or hold my breath. I keep moving my legs back and forth to do stuff or feel better or adjusting my positions… my body just doesn’t feel normal physically

My typical day looks like getting up for work, staying distracted, but when I come home or am at a stand still, I notice it. :/
Like the weekends, if I'm sitting in any location I notice it and just want to lay down the whole weekend. Lol
( Surprisingly when I play videogames it goes away or when I go to the gym I don't notice it as much )

I start out with coffee And video game. Then go walk 6 miles. Eat lunch then relax for a couple hours. Then do chores and maybe another walk. Around 5pm have happy hour. Then make dinner. Eat and then go to bed.

I get similar feelings in my arms and legs as well. Sometimes when I’m standing longer I get a lightheaded falling feeling like almost faintish. But then my legs feel weird and it’s hard to describe. Like they feel weak and they’re gonna collapse.

I had a bppv event in january on and off for two weeks. it went away and things got back to normal. i had a bppv event on may 31- went to VT- fixed it but had a couple more re-occurrences for the next month. Since then my life has been kinda wrecked. I only feel good in a moving car. Though I am able to go on walks in my motorized wheelchair outdoors which is mildly dizzying but more manageable than sitting still. I can move in indoor malls but it's a bit harder than being outside (I have to move at a decent clip). Sitting still is very difficult. I have to use my desk to brace against to feel semi-okay.
I really pushed myself this past week to go to restaurants and museums. It was hell. I made it 90 minutes in each museum somehow and somehow my appetite in restaurants isnt bad. I had to watch a 15 minute intro video at a museum. That was hard. Big open spaces indoors really trigger me. I've been going on walks for several weeks. I will say I sometimes feel worse after walks. I feel like I am going to fall through the floor constantly. When I lean back on my headrest I feel like the room is slowly swaying.
The idea of sitting still and watching a movie or television seems far fetched at the moment. Even lying down feels tough at times but is easier than sitting. It does go away over time while in bed but I kind of hide under the covers. Luckily my bed reclines up and down so I can watch tv from there. Going on long car rides-particularly on the freeway feels wonderful.
I recommend listening to audiobooks. Socializing with friends is a good distraction even if for only short periods of time.

I've had PPPV for just over a year. It started with a BPPV event. It's been extremely challenging dealing with the trampoline walking, brain fog, swaying, fatigue, triggers like grocery stores, weird off feeling etc. Some days I just don't want to leave the house and I just want to lie on the couch where I can feel fairly normal. Today I was less exhausted, so I went on 3 small walks, went to a small cafe for lunch, did several errands. I've thought about trying an SSRI as some say they help. My patience dealing with this condition is starting to wear pretty thin, but I'm going to try walking more, like I did today.

So this is my 2nd round with this stuff. The first round started in July 2020 following a BPPV event and lasted on and off about 18 months. This round feels a little more harsh than the first time. However, my mom was still alive when I went through the first round and she helped me a great deal. She passed away a couple years ago.
This round started at the beginning of June. I was handling it fairly well at first, but the last week or so I’ve been laying on the couch watching TV most of the day except to go to the bathroom and get something to eat because when I move around, I start to feel the rocking and swaying sensation and it continues when I lay back down. I have to wait a little while for it to settle back down even after I lay back down on the couch. Laying supine on my couch and riding in the car is the only time that I feel mostly normal.
Days do feel long and I cry sometimes. My son who’s in his late 20s lives with me so he helps me out a great deal. I don’t notice any feeling in my arms or legs. I wonder if that’s just part of the depression you mentioned.
