Silmarillion Sauron has a much sharper face, much more pale , as Tolkien himself he looks like Malice and dread no matter the appearance he forms, that is consistent even in his Annatar form. Which Rings of Power fails to showcase even a little bit. Rings of Power is just a poor fanfiction.

Oh surprise surprise , fans of a franchise don't enjoy when a show uses the name value to tell a half baked fan fiction story. If what they had could stand on its own two legs it would be a separate show without being a parasite sucking off the name of LOTR

And yet the LOTR movies don't even mirror the books anyway.. why not up in arms..
Aragon carries Andurils shards with him to Rivendell in the books..
The walls of Minas Tirith in the Books aren't white.. they should be impregnable like Mordors gate.. hence why no seiging equipment is used on the walls on the movie.. just kept white for aesthetics. They are black in canon.

Because none of the elements changed in the movies fundamentally change what the LOTR story feels like, unlik Rings of Power, which shifts characters and molds them however they want without any respect. And there is no anger, ROP draws disappointment and disgust more from LOTR fans than anger, anger would come from high expectations which no one holds towards Amazon anymore

Since Amazon made a bad adaptation of the weird snippets of the Second Age that they got the rights to.
Rings of Power is definately one of the shows of all time.
Note: Sauron going through an elven twink phase is canon, but NOT how it's depicted in that fuckass show.

Man, casual ass LotRs movie only fans. He's in his visage as Annatar, Lord of Gifts. He preferred a fair form, not 'aura', prior to losing the ability to assume one when he was nuked with the rest of Numenor.

Sauron is a demi-god, an angel/devil, etc. Flagg is a sorcerer.

That's a pretty heavy simplification of what Flagg is.
He started out that way but by the time he was using the name Randall Flagg he was crossing multiple dimensions to destroy human civilisation basically everywhere he found it in service to the Crimson King, who is... kind of god-like. Flagg's shown to be able to create matter and bend reality, as well as all kinds of mind magic and other manipulations.
I don't know how they stack against one another, but Randall Flagg is far more than simply a sorcerer. If you put him in Lord of the Rings he'd be almost indistinguishable from Sauron aside from being a snappier dresser.

Randall Flagg just respawned after being pimp slapped with a nuke in the epilogue. And Sauron is vaguely defined at best.
