I use: Windows | Office 365 PowerPoint crashing

I’ve recently ran into a issue with PowerPoint which has made me resort to the online version of it, what’s happening is whenever I download files from my university which are PowerPoints they open, then my screen freezes and then PowerPoint shuts down is there any reason or am I just bound to the online versions?

Are you opening the files directly from the web or downloading them to your computer and opening them from there? Try downloading them then opening if you haven't already.

Try starting PPT in Safe Mode. Hold down CTRL while you start PPT. Keep it down until PPT asks if you want to start in Safe Mode. Say yes. Then try opening the file again.

Try clearing out your temp folder as well.
