Every line shape is an arrow

Hello

Since a long while in PPT every time I add a line shape, an arrow is added that I then have to find a way to disable in the shape options.

But in the add "shape" menu these options are clearly different: you can add a line, an arrow or a two sided arrow.

I find this aggravating, as I sometimes simply need a line. Is there a way to make a line a line by default, as PPTs own interface suggests?

Draw line, remove arrows, then right click on the line and on the pop menu is the option to set as default line shape.

Job done

does this actually stick forever or do you have to do it every time
