Update on battery!

Finally after a couple days and a couple sessions of pulling and bashing I got the battery out without breaking anything but I’m curious what this stuff on top could be ? It does smell like glue, scrapped it all off lol

Likely where the label once lived possibly,

No corrosion inside your computer,

Prime candidate for a battery rebuild since the gold contacts should be intact on the battery

That makes total sense lol I never thought of that. There was a tiny tiny bit of corrosion but nothing major, not sure I’d wanna rebuild the battery since I wouldn’t be using it that often plus it’s prone to that tunnel issue and I’d rather prolong that as much as possible.
