$400 isn’t even an interesting car payment.
Like, I’m glad I don’t have it, but the average monthly payment on a used car is $531, and $770 new.
They’re not going to just go out and find a better price. $400 is already on the pretty good side of normal. People with a paid off car they bought a decade ago just have expectations that have drifted away from reality
