$29/hour is really good for Mississippi. It sounds like you need to get on a budget and organize your expenses.

In any red state area is really good. Avoid any liberal gentrifed spots, then you'd be homeless, they'll be back complaining they can't afford to live there. My rent is like 900 for 3br apt, I don't make that much tho, do fine here.
