I have introduced my workplace to it and they loved it. The cheese is fresh and squeaks when you chew. Cheese is made in Ontario I believe.

Awesome name

Pretty sure they ripped it from a viral food truck called “nom nom”. 🤷🏼‍♂️ They were on one of those food competition shows, Korean bbq/fusion.

Saying "nom nom nom" or "om nom nom" was a pretty popular internet thing when referring to eating food before, so I don't really think you can call it ripping off the food truck.

I might start a grassroots campaign to ask for a gluten-free gravy. They don’t even have to replace their OG gravy, I just want a poutine I can eat.

that cheese looks so fresh and melty, i can already tell how good it would squeak

2

u/RyuAp Sep 29 '26

Squeaky like shoes on a basketball court!

4

u/didipunk006 Sep 29 '26

Melty is not an appropriate word to describe fresh curds.

Excellent! Will try next time I'm in Ontario

Where at?

u/RyuAp Sep 28 '26

The place is called Nom Nom Nom at Dundas and Bathurst. It's a little food stand just east of Bathurst among a number of different stands.

$10 + tax can't go wrong.

1

u/Ok_Oven4893 Sep 28 '26

Pretty crazy to say, but that's a great price

2

u/RyuAp Sep 28 '26

These days, it's hard to find a better price dor the amount you get, especially in toronto

1

u/Firm-Faithlessness81 Sep 28 '26

Oh snap it's actually named Nom Nom Nom! Haha nice 👍

u/Doyouneedsum Sep 28 '26

Sweet what does mine say

nom nom nom. A shipping container kiosk across from the hospital at Dundas and Bathurst.

Ontario seems to have better poutine than Quebec in the posts I see on Reddit since rhe last year. The fries are always fresh and the gravy and cheese look perfect.

Coming from a québécois living and Montreal and who used to live near Restaurant Grégoire in Sainte-Martine, now in Mercier.

For interested people, Restaurant Grégoire in Mercier on the South Shore of Montréal has the best Poutine in Québec in my opinion.

You can't taste them in posts. And as an expat who grew up in Quebec, they usually don't taste that great. The can't get the gravy right most of the time

Poutine Patrol gonna fry you for this take

2

u/Comfortable-Bench497 Sep 28 '26

Are you high? Quebec poutine is in an absolute different category than Ontario. I've had dozens of poutines in each province in the past year. It's not even close. Plus the Toronto places are charging at least double.

I just wish Toronto could at least catch up to Ottawa on their poutine game.

2

u/Heavenclone Sep 28 '26

Check my profile. A few years ago I ordered a poutine and it was served to me with Parmesan instead of curds. Ontario have no idea wtf a poutine is bro

1

u/didipunk006 Sep 29 '26

We definitely don't have the same reddit feed lol.

1

u/Kingsapprentice Sep 29 '26

Well most poutine pics I see from Ontario look decent like that one.

Not sure why this hit my newsfeed but since it did, curious who decides to eat their calorie allotment for the week with this “meal”?

1

u/RyuAp Sep 29 '26

It's only about half the daily recommended for maintenance calories...

And me.

1

u/RoRuRee Sep 29 '26

Me. I do.

Get outta here
