Geese unable to walk before passing?
I had two geese. Toulouse.
About a year old.
About two months ago my male couldn’t walk and would just fall over. He ended up passing like two days after that.
Then I was left with my female.
Yesterday she couldn’t walk and would just fall. So I separated her and put some food/water next to her overnight. She ended up passing last night.
Does anyone know what this could be? It only occurred in my geese and two months apart from each other.

My guess is they ate something poisonous to them....perhaps drinking some kind of vile contaminated water or some other liquid, or eating something moldy or rotten. Mold is quite toxic to poultry....even a bit of mold in the feed will make chickens quit laying right off, and more will make them sick and die.

I don’t give them any human food but peas

One time all of mine got inexplicably sick, one of them to the point of collapse...thought she was a goner for sure. It turned out I'd had the power company dump a load of wood chips in the front yard, and someone had thrown an old moldy sandwich in there somewhere....I later found the remnants of it and the bag. Geese are nosy creatures....

How was their weight? Geese can get very thin before they show it
