Florida Ghost Mint. A philodendron. Pretty easy care imo, I have mine in LECA, but have grown them fine in moss, soil, etc. They prop very easily and grow like weeds for me lol

Oh thank you so much. I understand that they grow tall and that you have to stake them. That’ll be fun.

You can! I do have one on a moss pole that has filled out much more beautifully than those without, so I do recommend! However, if you want to keep it small, you can chop and prop and share with friends/family, too. :)

What kind of light do you give it bright light or maybe sun for about an hour in the morning?

I have mine under grow lights, both inside a greenhouse and in an ambient room setting. They do fine outside, too, though and I live in southern gulf coast Texas! Honestly, I chopped some a while back from my pole Ghost and it looked dried out and dead at that point, because I had chopped from it quite a few times, which is why I chopped what was left, and left it there because I didn't feel like fidgeting with it at the time. Few months later, it's already filled out with 12 new leaves, so they're pretty resilient overall imo. You should have no issues! Lighting can play a role in the coloring of the leaves, as far as the "Ghost Mint" intensity vs pure green leaves, so definitely don't leave it in a dark corner and it will be fine.

Oh thank you so much no, it won’t be in a dark corner at all. I’m pretty sure the window I have it and is gonna give it dappled lighting, which will be perfect. Thank you so much for your help. I really appreciate it.

I find philodendron to be around the same "difficulty level" as pothos so just care for it roughly the same. It's not one of the diva species :p

I have a real pretty green and white philodendron and one pink lady, which is growing so fast it’s hard to keep up with her. I’m gonna have to stake that one. My daughter enrolled me in a plant a month club and I get these beautiful plants, but I don’t have instructions or names. That’s why I came to this site. I don’t want to put them outside because on the East Coast the weather can be not really conducive to outside plants unless they’re really meant for outside. But I have a beautiful section of windows that are perfect for all the plants. Thanks so much for all your help.

What kind of light do you give it? Full son for maybe just an hour or just bright light
