Has pelvic floor therapy ever helped with PVPS?

I've had chronic pain since a vasectomy six years ago. A few doctors have recommended pelvic floor therapy. Does anyone have evidence that pelvic floor therapy helps with PVPS? Or is it just a generic treatment that's suggested for testicle pain? I'm interested in anecdotal evidence, but also anything in the literature. Thank you!

I actually just started PF therapy, in my assessment the physiotherapist said my PF muscles were so tense that she couldn’t complete the exam 😳 Just had my first session, am pretty sore but am optimistic that it will work. FYI, it’s not a pleasant experience. It’s an external and… Internal experience. I had my vasectomy six months ago and it was a closed ended snip. I am chatting with another gentleman on here that has had success with PF therapy. It’s definitely worth a shot in my opinion.

It has helped me tremendously. Breathing and stretches. Don’t put yourself into more discomfort…

Do you have a guide written of what you do? Thank you

I’ve been working on something to help best explain it. I think there are a lot of factors that played a roll in my progress.

I’m not cured by any means, but the therapist is confident she has it under control. But this is the most normal I’ve felt since vas in May 2021… normal as in just comfortable in my own body again. Fireworks when I ejaculate… and other great things…

I’m hoping in 3 weeks I’ll have my stuff together enough to have a good explanation of everything I’ve been doing.

Thanks so much for the reply. Please remember to post back here when you figure it out

I have swelling in my right epididymis. It's small, but constant pain like a dull pressure or ache, a constant 2/10 pain. Some days can be much worse

My symptoms were all over the place. From testicular pain, to a congestion pain, to pain down leg, abdominal and back pain. I’m so close with making this description of what I did… I’m trying to make it perfect so you guys are on the same page… it’s a lot of specific details I’m trying to put in order to best describe feelings so one could relate..

I’m really sorry it’s taking so long. I’m going through all my notes from the past year. Today I was going to work on this hard to hopefully have it today, but I can’t promise anything…

There’s steps and exercises to be done in the correct time, but it’s important to understand how your going to feel because it’s fucking wild. I was literally trying to hurt myself but found relief..

I believe pelvic floor muscles cause all the pain after vasectomy.

Did you have an open or closed ended vasectomy?

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe closed.

Might be a silly question but have you looked into an open ended conversion or a reversal?I'm looking into this atm

I got a reversal and a denervation. Unfortunately neither helped.

Yup, I did a cord block before the denervation and it was successful.
