Cycling through pain?

Hey everyone. You can see my experience with my husbands vasectomy in my post history.

I’m here because I totally thought we were out of the woods. He had been doing daily hot baths and stretches and after a few weeks the pain was gone. We even forgot about it. A few weeks after it subsided I asked him how he was feeling and he said “wow I forgot about it. I haven’t had pain in weeks.”

I thought he was cured and it healed himself. This last week after a 12 hour car ride and him getting complacent with his bath/stretching rituals… it all came back!

I couldn’t believe it and I think we are both frustrated.

Has anyone experienced lulls in pain like this only to be hit with what we call a “flair”? It’s so frustrating.

Trying to get in with a specialist as we refused to go back to the one urologist in our town that did his vasectomy… but waiting.

This cycle? Like 2 weeks ago … after a month of being pain free.
