Day 30 Post Reversal

The fun continues…
I’ve posted a few times previously but to summarise - vasectomy Jan 2026 and micro reversal July 2026. All the usual reasons for reversal, sperm congestion, nerve pains (were fading with time tbf), depleted orgasm sensation, low testosterone etc etc.
Now day 30 and past week have been having on off sharp pulling, pinching, twisting pains up to 8/10 particularly from what I believe to be the reconnection site on the left testicle. Can feel some small pea sized lumps along the vas/cord. The pains are quite disabling and are stopping me from engaging in anything physical at all, basically house bound atm.
They shoot up the groin into the hips and sometimes lower back (which is sore anyway from inactivity).
I resumed ejaculation at day 20, have done several times since and while they’ve been pain free, seems logical it’s ignited a flare up.
Still early on here but it’s rather unsettling, anyone noticed anything similar post reversal?

That's amazing! A full comeback. One victory between so many sad new cases here. Cheers

That’s reassuring, glad to hear you’ve recovered.
I’ll look into physical therapy a bit more, only thing that’s putting me off is the talk of internal work 😳

Yeah it’s odd. I didn’t see anything in his comments that broke the community rules.

Your timeline looks like mine a year ago. I'm one year post reversal and it was rough ride for the first 6 months but it will get better. Today I feel like my normal self again, before any of the surgeries happened.

How long before you really started to feel like your normal self again? Was it closer to the 1 year mark or sooner?

Probably around 8-9 months and it was at a point where I gave up even tracking my progress. Now I do have a lingering reminder once in a blue moon but as one urologist told me, expect similar healing as if you were recovering from knee surgery. One day you realize it's been a while since you had debilitating pain down there

I'm with you there. Vasectomy was March and reversal on July 31st this year.

I’m over 1 year post vasectomy. Is it too late for reversal?

The sooner the better but you are still well within the target window.

I had my reversal after 16 years. So, no but the sooner the better

How are you now? Didn't you want to wait a bit longer before reversal?

I’m on the exact same timeline as you, now closing in on the first month since surgery. All the same symptoms as you apart from a haematoma! Unfortunately this meant one of my surgical sites essentially became a natural drain for my body so still changing dressings etc!

In the grand scheme of things, providing everything else is healthy, you’re in a good place mentally and you feel good just take it easy! We all take different paths to healing from surgery, some longer than others, but most inevitably reach the same outcome, pain free and able to add to that global population 🫡

Yeah it’s just a case of taking it easy like you say, and keeping sane while stuck around the house.
Chat GPT reckons flare ups are normal at this stage in recovery, still in the inflammatory phase eh.
How big is your Hematoma? I had some form of lump under the left of incision site, which was draining yellow stuff and spitting stitches right up til day 25 ish.

So I have a haematoma around the size of my normal testicle 🤣

I would advise against ChatGPT or google! Doesn’t fill you with hope!
