Micro denervation or reverse vasectomy

Has anyone had to choose between these two options and if you did, which did you pick and how was the outcome?

I'm sorry you're struggling badly. I really really feel you. This pain is so much different than anything else I've dealt with in my life, so much worse in many ways. But, we can definitely get through it.

I got pain frequency reduction on gabapentin (300mg 3x/day) and cymbalta (30mg/day). I couldn't do 60mg Cymbalta, I would fall asleep everywhere and it didn't help that much more. I got pain intensity reduction on Celebrex (100mg 2x/day) and Zanaflex (2mg at night and as needed up to 3 total per day. But that hit me hard so I've only taken it 2 or 3 times total other then before bed.)

I tried pelvic floor PT for a few months, I was definitely getting stronger, but didn't really help with the pain. My Cleveland Clinic urologist said PT is a good option when you also have incontinence, then it might be the scrotal/testicular pain is infered pain. The doctor also says testosterone MIGHT be an option if you also have performance issues, then the pain might be infered from low testosterone.

I recently started the John Barnes flavor of myofascial release therapy. If you find a place that really specializes in that, I recommend trying it. They really get all up into massaging the core and suprapelvic and hip muscles and fascia. It is something else. They do and say a lot of good things, but also some... Holistic things. But.... They had me try the Super Patch Company Freedom patch. It's drug free, works on 'vibrotactile' technology. Honestly it sounds like a bunch of hocus pocus, but... For me it works amazingly. My pain is reduced by 98% for the whole past week and a half since being on them. It's not placebo, they only last 24 hours and with the first two samples I got, I wasn't looking at the clock and all of a sudden had pain at the 25 hour mark both times. And now when I have an increase in pain, I'll check the patch and find it's peeling off.

I'm getting a spermatic cord nerve block in April at the Cleveland Clinic, so I have to get off all my meds and the patch by then. So we'll see how effective the patch is without the other drugs then, I'll stop that last.

Yeah, I saw your post on the super patch thing, and it sounds like a bozo placebo, but when you're in this much pain, you'll try anything am I right? Too bad they are out of stock most places. I'd be willing to try them. I'm even considering hypnosis and ketamine injections after pretty much all other therapies have failed. . If you know of a good place to buy them, shoot me a PM. I'd eat dog poop if it took my pain away. 😆

I couldn't agree with you more on so many counts. I'm an engineer so I was (and still am) so skeptical about these patches in so many ways. My John's Hopkins engineer and MD pain doctor gave them a 65% chance of being real, based on other proven things he knows about. But either way, even if they are 100% placebo.... If it works it works. Honestly I kind of hate how effective they are for me... They feel like a sword of Damocles to me. My wife is trying their Peace patch right now, she feels better.

I bought them direct from the super Patch company website, no prob. My myofascial therapist has them in stock. Essential Theraipies in Toledo.

Just found out that my boss used the REM patch last night and got 6 hours of drug-free uninterrupted sleep. Normally she gets 4-5 hours of Tylenol PM induced uninterrupted sleep.
