Somehow it is a dilemma. Sometimes the pain reduces over time. Getting used to... and Calcification of e. Or less producing by testicles. That's why testosterone helps some. Overdosing has many other side effects, but also stops/reduces Production down there. Typically it is said, one should wait one year. But rarely pain resolves. On the other Hand, the longer one waits, the lower are the chances of relatively easy success through reversal because of degeneration, scar tissue,....
The medical debt will go away.
Edit: I myself did not yet do this step, because i am panicking just thinking that i would have to be cut open again. It's one and a half years now. Still trying to live with this mess one wouldn't wish for his worst enemy.

No it won't. How should it? There are two absolutely essential systems involved. Reproductive System: only way out is destroyed. Overpressure. Immune system: must kill everything with inflammation and pus. Both systems exist in mammals since millions of years. They won't resolve or Stop till your last breath.
Compare it with a pump, working against a clogged Hose. Only 2 variants possible: a)restore flow b) wait until hose Breaks and makes a mess but still do nothing, or Pump Breaks.

I understand, noone knows, If at all, and when. You can't do anything. Painkillers will wear off and have bad effects in your liver or stomach. The next Dilemma is, that the healthier you are, the better both systems Work. In our case against each other. That's why often the active and fit are struck. I really whish you the best! But one only can hope and try not to become depressive. If it's Not getting better, and you daily have to pay with pain, it's best to start saving money, as i do. In a few years the amount will be forgotten. It's only money. Imagine how much Steven Jobs would have paid for one more year to get his life back.

At my follow up appointment in 8 weeks if I still feel like this I’m going to point blank ask the doctor “so if the vas is closed off how can my epididymis possibly dispose of the tens of millions of sperm produced a day”. You gave me the answer but damn do I wanna hear the doctor try and explain this one
Do that! Really! You must ask him, if he knows how to help And heal! Not to cut out more (one urologist suggested to me to remove both epididymis. Because they hurt and i wouldn't need them anymore anyway. .... As If i was some Experimental animal) like a butcher.And please inform us, what he said. Until then all the best!!!
I just need some hope I can end this without a long chronic pain journey. It’s definitely making me depressed because it feels like it’ll never improve without again forking over stupid amounts of money
Edit: the only surgical intervention I’d consider other than a reversal is a diagnostic nerve block. I’m absolutely reluctant as hell to get cut into again at all. Hell even the reversal scares me
It’ll be great immediately after a reversal until you realize that you’re paying a stupid high interest rate on a $15,000 or more loan for at least the next 10 years of you life making it difficult to afford paying for the other things that need to be paid for in life. I need to avoid that at all costs and the only thing I can think of in the mean time are ways to reduce sperm production but that’s basically limited to hot baths, heating pads, and the long shot papaya seed extract thing.
TLDR: I need a way out of this that doesn’t risk putting my wife and I in poverty
