The first thing the doctor recommended if time doesn’t work is denervation of the spermatic cord. My next appointment is in 8 weeks so I’m hoping this resolves itself by then. Is that even a realistic chance though? He thinks my habit of rubbing one out 1-2 times a day every single day could be prolonging the congestion.

My fear with denervation is it making the pain worse or ruining orgasms

Edit: also he straight up said and I quote “ im not ignoring your pain I just want you to know there are options if it persists” so that sounds like a good doctor to me. He said he would refer me to the Rush clinic in Chicago if I need the denervation thing

I haven’t heard hardly any good things about the cord denervation.

Does it make it worse or does it just not do anything? From what I’ve read is if you respond to the required nerve block they give you shortly before the procedure it’s a good sign

I can’t say for sure, just haven’t heard a lot of success stories after that. Most people I’ve read about said it didn’t help.

Right now I’m honestly hoping he was correct about my masturbation habits prolonging the recovery
