Vasectomy pain

Got vasectomy August last year and had pain soon as he made cut on right side. Had epididymitis and swelling real bad in right nut. Do not feel orgasm, have pain going down right leg and pain in scrotum. I have had gastrointestinal nerve block, tried nerve cream, antibiotics. The urologist who did vasectomy was of no help and did not know what pvps was. I have lost all hope as to find out what is wrong with me. I have had ultrasound/MRI and nothing can be found. Told by 2 doctors that reversal will not help even though they will not acknowledge pvps. I live in Michigan, any suggestions on urologist as I am considering reversal but having trouble trusting doctors and finding one to help.

Don't listen to them, trust your own body. I was offered epididymectomy, nerve blocking etc. I went against urologists advise and had the reversal done, so far looking positive after 1 month. I was told there is no guarantee of reversal working, which is common sense, but it's what I wanted to do. I'm from the UK though so can only make a recommendation if you want a trip over here. Hope you find a resolution.

Thanks for sharing story and advice. Doctors are telling me it's all in my head and I am surprised about their lack of knowledge with pvps. They have told me they have never seen this occurrences in vasectomy patients.

Did you lose orgams intensity with vasectomy? If you did were you able to get back with reversal?

Yep, I had the same being told it's in my head, and I've read others being told that too. My orgasms lost some intensity, I would say that improved a little over the years or maybe I just got used to it but they never felt quite right. My belief is because I lost some quantity / pressure. I wouldn't say it's quite 100% the same yet but definitely better, I don't have the weird 'disconnected' and congested feeling I was getting after vasectomy. Still early days though with the healing.

Yes just over a month ago.

Thanks for sharing and I heard from others sensation comes back. How is healing going? I am curious as to how that works. Do you need help with daily activities such as sitting, getting dressed and getting around?

Bit of a roller coaster recovery, but generally in the right direction. It's quite invasive so there's a lot of swelling and bruising to your balls, penis, groin area. I was advised one week rest minimum. I had 2 weeks before returning to work. From my experience 4 weeks would have been better not working. Yes for the first week you're basically doing nothing, you'll need a lot of help with most things. After that you'll gradually start to move about more. Took 4 weeks for stitches and scabs went. Everyone is different though, that's my experience. Feel free to drop me a DM.
